One of my goals for the year is to keep a monthly account of what I read over each month. At the end of this year, I want to have done 12 monthly recap posts. So I'll be recounting my reading through these posts and taking a page out of Ames from Bookish Ames book by tracking everything that she does in her annual reading recap posts. Wish me luck.
With all of that out of the way, here's what I read in the month that was January 2013.

Most of my reading consisted of review books for Netgalley/Edelweiss and publishers but I did manage to get some re-reads in this month. I re-read The Wedding by Julie Garwood for my book club and after reading (and loving the hell out of) Love Irresistibly, I re-read Just the Sexiest Man Alive by Julie James which was another re-read treat.
My favorite read of the month goes to Love Irresistibly by Julie James. I adored Brooke and Cade together but I really, really loved Cade. He just did it for me and the entire book was fun to read. I'm all about the fun. My favorite YA book this month was Confessions of a Triple Shot Betty by Jody Gehrman. It was such a cute read and the main character Geena was hilarious and she was normal and she was a blast to read about. I really enjoyed her and her friends (even when they hated each other) and I adored Ben.
My least favorite reads of the month go to Second Chance at Forever by Heather Lire which I should have known wouldn't work for me since it's a secret baby plot and those story lines rarely work for me and The Risk Taker by Kira Sinclair. The heroine in that book got on my nerves, she was a reporter that would do anything to get a story and the crap she withheld from the hero pissed me off.
So there you go, my reading recap for the month of January 2013.
How did your month of reading go?

What a month! I wish mine looked like that. Not just in numbers, but I also see a handful of books there I'd love to read. Hope Feb. is just as good.
